ENGG Week 2015

Since 1992, National?Engineering?Month has been used as an opportunity to raise public awareness of the importance of engineering?and technology in our daily lives and to encourage young people to consider careers in?engineering?and technology. This is done throughout Canada and takes the form of volunteer-organized events.

The RESS will be hosting multiple events and activities during the?week?of?March 2nd?to bolster inner faculty pride through feats of physical toughness,?engineering?spirit, practical knowledge, and of course taking time to enjoy the engineer?s favourite BEvERage.

The schedule for the week is:

Monday March 2:
Opening Ceremonies; Academic Green; 2:30pm
Chariot Racing; Academic Green; 2:45pm – 3:45pm
Bowling Night; Golden mile bowling lanes – 3806 Albert st.; 9:30pm ? midnight

Tuesday March 3:
Pancakes; Education Building 127; 8:30am – 11:30am
Price is Right; Education Auditorium 106.2; 6:00pm – 7:00pm
Laser Quest; 10 Hesse Bay; 8:00pm

Wednesday March 4:
Fort Building; Academic Green; 2:30pm
EWB Global Engineering Game; Education Building 312; 6:00pm
Wine, Whiskey & Cheese; The Owl; 9:00pm (must legal drinking age 19+)

Thursday March 5:
Pancakes; Education Building 127; 8:30am – 11:30am
Skiing; Mission Ridge; 4:00pm (sold separately – Receive $5 off!!)

Friday March 6:
Sandwich Building Competition; TBA; 11:30am
Beer in the Lounge; TBA; 12:00pm – 5:00pm (must legal drinking age 19+)

Teams can have up to 7 people on their team, only 5 may participate at each event.?You must sign up by Monday?February?23 @ 12:00 pm.

Throughout the week we need you to?show engineering spirit, moral boosting throughout the school is strongly encouraged. Points will be awarded for each winning event:?1st place receives 25?points, 2nd receives 15, 3rd receives 10?and so on… there will also be points awarded for things like spirit and sportsmanship. So things like team uniforms are encouraged.
